02/2017 MST Section 10 - Eno River State Park to Rolling View Recreation Area - 39.5 Miles
Feb 18-20 2017, a three day 39.5 mile solo backpacking trip heading east on the NC Mountains to the Sea trail. I began section 10 at Pleasant Green trailhead in Eno River State Park, and hiked to Rolling View Recreation Area on the Falls Lake. Note, this section has minimal amount of pure drinking water. Most water was filtered and chemically treated from creeks with no adverse side affects. April 15th 2017, day hike of 13 miles from Rolling View Recreation Area to Ghoston Road. April 22-24 2017, 25 miles from Ghoston Road to Falls Lake Dam, end of section 10.
